Where to Donate Furniture in Rock County, WI (and Why There's No ReStore)
Updated
Short answer
Goodwill, Janesville
2003 Holiday Dr, Janesville, (608) 758-8794. The City of Janesville lists it as a drop-off that does not accept TVs (city e-waste page). Whether it takes large furniture or offers pickup was not something we could confirm on Goodwill's own site, so call before loading a couch.
No ReStore in the county
It is easy to assume there is a Habitat ReStore in Janesville or Beloit. There is not. Habitat's activity in Rock County, which expanded in 2025, is home building. The affiliate's ReStore is in Waukesha: "Located in Waukesha, the Habitat WJR ReStore accepts donations and sells a constantly changing inventory" ( Habitat for Humanity WJR ReStore).
Getting donations out of the house
On a cleanout, ask the crew to load donation items separately and drop them off on the way. It adds time but usually costs less than hauling everything to the landfill, and good furniture gets used again. What cannot be donated goes by load; see the pricing page.
